Good Practice
Our country is lacking in volcanic activities. So we are much concerned in other type of natural disaster. We are engaged in preparedness towards earthquake disaster. As Nepal
lies in seismic zone, monitoring of earthquake and its mitigation through preparedness is very important.Conducted Earthquake Awareness Programme in Biratnagar. Most of the participant were from Science High School Teachers. There were also participant from different governmental and non-Governmental organization and was chaired by Chief District Officer.

I came to know that many people had been killed by natural disaster like volcanic, landslides, debris flow. 5 months before 1800 people had been killed by deadly two landslides in the villahe of Guisagen? Similarly 20 people had been killed in Indonesia last week due to flash flood. Similarly 200 people had been killed in Southern Sulawesi district of Singal. 5800 people lost their lives in Java due to last month earthquake. We cannot stop Natural Disaster but their impacts can be minimized through prepardness.
I am very sorry for not responding you all since a long time after the Follow-up Seminar in Philippines. I express deep sorrow to those who had lost their lives in various natural disaster like Volcanoes, Landslides, Debris flow etc.
